Filmmaker SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus film RRR broke several box office records soon after its release and ended up being an international sensation. 

The film made India proud as its song ‘Naatu Naatu’ won India’s first Golden Globe award in the Best Song Category and also became the first Asian film to win the award for a song. 

‘RRR’ became the first film in two decades to get nominated for the prestigious award. 

While fans are all praises for the film and the song is trending over social media platforms, it is the film’s actors Jr NTR and Ram Charan’s interview videos that are making rounds on the internet for all the wrong reasons. Why, you ask?

It is Jr NTR and Ram Charan’s accent that has become talk of the town as netizens are trolling the two for their non-desi accent. 

While many have slammed the actors for changing their accent, their fans are defending them fiercely and have said, ‘When in Rome, Do as the Romans Do’

First on our list is desi girl gone international, Priyanka Chopra Jonas. We can never forget the ‘Koffee With Karan’ episode where Karan Johar asked PC where she gets her accent from? Well it didn’t end there and the conversation took a wild turn when Karan revealed that this question was asked by Kareena Kapoor Khan. Giving a witty reply to the same she said, “The same place from where her boyfriend gets it from” signalining to Kapoor’s then boyfriend (now husband) Saif Ali Khan.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

One of the biggest beauty icons of India and Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is well known for her impeccable acting skills and her fashion sense. While most aspiring actors and pageants look up to her because of her elegance and grace you might be surprised to know that even the most beautiful woman in the world got trolled for the way she speaks!

The actor who was representing India at the Cannes film festival 2022 got brutally trolled by social media users for her seemingly ‘fake accent’.

Being an outsider, her journey wasn’t an easy one but she had her own share of struggles. During an interview with Vogue the actor recalled how she was made fun of because of her accent. She said, “My South Indian accent was also frowned upon and I initially worried about being written off because of it.”

Student Of The Year actor Ananya Panday is no stranger to trolls, all thanks to the nepotism debate and her star kid status. Well this time we aren’t talking about her ‘struggles’ but her accent that netizens find to be *fake* and *annoying*.

We must say that she has been groomed well and knows how to reply to trolls with wit. On one of her videos a user commented, “Oh my god, her accent, my ears are bleeding.” to which he replied, “I’m so sorry. Mai aapke liye tissue bhejti hoon.”
