5 Times Bollywood Celebs Slammed Media Portals For Spreading Fake News
Bollywood celebrities often fall prey to fake news surrounding their personal and professional lives. While most usually actors ignore fake news, there are times when they choose to speak up and condemn it.
Here are 5 such instances where actors called out media portals for spreading fake news.
Arjun Kapoor
Arjun Kapoor recently slammed a journalist from one of the entertainment portals for spreading false rumours that claimed he and his girlfriend Malaika Arora are expecting their first child together. The actor took to his Instagram story to share the screenshot of the news with a caption that read, “This is the lowest that you could have gone, and you have done it by being casual, insensitive and absolutely unethical in carrying garbage news. This journalist has been writing such pieces regularly and getting away with it because we tend to ignore these fake gossip articles while they spread across media and become the truth. This is not done. Don’t dare to play with our personal lives”.

Alia Bhatt who was expecting Raha Kapoor while shooting for her Hollywood debut ‘Heart of Stone’, fumed at a publication for reporting that her film might get delayed because of her pregnancy and her husband Ranbir Kapoor would be picking her up from UK. Nothing has gotten delayed!!!! No one needs to PICK anyone up, I am a woman not a parcel!!!! I do not need to REST at all but good to know you’ll have a doctor’s certification as well. This is 2022. Can we please get out of this archaic way of thinking! Now if you would excuse me…my shot is ready”.
Hrithik Roshan
Rumours of Hrithik Roshan and his girlfriend Saba Azad shifting in a Rs 100 crore apartment were doing rounds on social media. The actor, who rarely discusses his personal life in public, dispelled the rumours by denying the false claims. The actor took to Twitter to shed some light on the same and wrote, “There is no truth to this. As a public figure, I understand I’ll be under the lens of curiosity, but it’s best if we keep misinformation away, especially in our reportage, which is a responsible job.”
Kareena Kapoor Khan
Kareena Kapoor Khan who was enjoying her vacation in London with her family, reacted hilariously to a fake news that claimed the actress was pregnant for the third time. The actress shared a story on her Instagram handle and clarified, “It’s the pasta and wine guys…Calm down…I am NOT pregnant… ufffff… Saif says he has already contributed way too much to the population of our country… Enjoy…KKK.”
