Abhishek Bachchan Talks About Critics And Trolls
Abhishek Bachchan, Amit Sadh, Naveen Kasturia, Saiyami Kher and Mayank Sharma who are busy promoting their show ‘Breathe Into The Shadows’ talk about stepping into their characters, critics, trolls and pressure in conversation with GOODSTiMES’ Puja Talwar.
‘Breathe Into The Shadows’ is an Indian crime thriller series about a couple’s search for their missing daughter, and the manipulation that they face at the hands of a masked kidnapper.
When Abhishek Bachchan was asked about the OTT and Box Office debate and the burden that comes in with criticism, the actor promptly replied by saying, “That has been the story from the beginning. You make a bad film that is not going to do well. You make a bad show, nobody is going to watch it. Today people have a platform through which you hear that opinion. I don’t understand the whole debate between theaters and OTT. Something that is going to work in a theater will work on OTT as well. Your audience is your audience. They aren’t different people that you are patronizing through different platforms.
I think as human beings are in a constant need of understanding or labeling or defining something why it is happening or why it is not. The large part of our brains evolve from cavemen to this happened because we are inquisitive and we want answers. This is a very simple answer for me, you make a good film and they will come to the theater and watch it.”
The team also talked about getting into their characters and the pressure they get due to the trolls and much more in conversation with GOODTiMES’ Puja Talwar.
