Kajol Shares An ‘Oops’ Moment As ‘Baazigar’ Completes 26 Years

Bollywood has been hit by a wave of nostalgia. And as film anniversaries throng the fraternity, how could Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol starrer ‘Baazigar’ turning 26, not be celebrated? The film’s song ‘Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhein’ was one of the most iconic numbers of the 90’s, and this was the subject of Kajol’s recent Instagram post.

“Oops! I still don’t have black eyes. #26YearsOfBaazigar,” wrote Kajol on Instagram. In the video, she can be seen winking in a boomerang video with the focus on her hazel brown eyes. She thus contradicted the song, ‘Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhein’ in her own cool way. While Shah Rukh Khan is yet to share his feelings on his film completing this milestone, his wife Gauri Khan had recently tweeted a #throwback post about the film. She spoke about how she put together Shah Rukh Khan’s look in the song, which she couldn’t believe she had designed, way back in the 90’s.

The film was based on the British Thriller A Kiss Before Dying. The plot revolved around the story of a young man, who acts on a personal bias against a business tycoon. Though this was Shilpa Shetty’s first film, both Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol had won much appreciation for their roles in Baazigar. The Filmfare award for Best Actor went to Shah Rukh Khan for his chilling antagonistic portrayal in the film.
