A Director Once Wanted To See My Underwear- Priyanka Chopra Jonas

Priyanka Chopra Jopnas is omnipresent and currently is on a world domination spree as she continues to make headlines – whether it’s her captivating role in the upcoming spy-thriller series Citadel or taking a dig at Bollywood. 

While revealing another seamier side of Bollywood, the actor recently recalled an incident where she quit a film because the director said he wanted to see her underwear in a scene (yes, you read it right).

Calling the experience dehumanizing, Priyanka Chopra Jonas opened up about the incident in an interview with The Zoe Reporter and said, “I’m undercover, I’m seducing the guy — obviously that’s what girls do when they’re undercover. But I’m seducing the guy and you have to take off one piece of clothing [at a time]. I wanted to layer up. The filmmaker was like, No, I need to see her underwear. Otherwise, why is anybody coming to watch this movie?”

She further added, “He didn’t say it to me. He said it to the stylist in front of me. It was such a dehumanizing moment. It was a feeling of, I’m nothing else outside of how I can be used, my art is not important, what I contribute is not important.”

Priyanka then took her father’s advice and left the project in 2 days after paying the production house the money they spent on her during the shoot.
