A. R. Rahman And Kamal Haasan To Collaborate For This Magnum Opus

Soon after announcing his collaboration with southern star Vikram for his next ‘Vikram 58’, AR Rahman announced his next collaboration that with actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan. Rahman shared the news on his Twitter handle, and rest assured fans of both the composer and actor were excited. 

“Happy and excited to collaborate with the one and only Kamal Haasan himself on a magnum opus. Watch this space for more!” wrote Rahman on Twitter. A. R. Rahman and Kamal Haasan will be reuniting after  two decades for the project Thalaivan Irukkindraan. They last work together for the film Thenali in the year 2000,The project that they are currently collaborating for is reportedly a mangnum opus’, which had earlier been shelved.according to sources the story is based on the life of a politician. Also speculations are rife the film might be Kamal Haasan’s last, before he retires from the industry and takes up active politics.

Kamal Haasan replied to Rahman’s tweet, thanking him for being a part of the project and saying that his excitement is ‘contagious’.

“Thanks ARR for strengthening the team with your participation. Very few projects feel good and right even as we develop it. Thalaivan Irrukindraan is one such. Your level of excitement for the project is very contagious. Let me pass it on to the rest of our crew,” read Haasan’s reply to Rahman’s tweet.

Kamal Hassan is currently wrapping up season three of Big Boss Tamil, which he is hosting. He will soon be seen in Indian 2, which is the sequel to his 1996 film Indian. Rahman, meanwhile, has begun composing music for actor Vijay’s film Bigil.
