It’s that time of the year, when perfectionist Khan gets set to play Pied Piper, and draw us all into theatres for yet another cine extravaganza. So this Diwali, as he pulls out yet another feather from his hat, to live the ‘Thug’ life, the question on everyone’s mind is, what’s next.
Is Aamir all set to play Godman Swami Rajneesh in a biopic on Osho, as the spiritual guru was called?
The actor revealed he was waiting for a bound script before he took a decision, adding director Shakun Batra had discussed the same with him.
The actor had distanced himself from Mogul in the wake of the ‘Me Too’ movement, when director Subhash Kapoor had been accused of sexual misconduct, and is now back on the project.
Mogul, to be produced by Bhushan Kumar, is based on the life of T-Series founder, Gulshan Kumar, and is a script close to Aamir’s heart.
Also, after displaying much bonhomie with SRK, by getting clicked together, and celebrating forthcoming releases; the actor revealed he had suggested Shah Rukh’s name for Rakesh Sharma’s biopic, since he seemed far more suitable for the role than him.
Speaking to reporters, Aamir said he was fascinated by the script (the film is tentatively titled Saare Jahan Se Accha), and has called Shah Rukh to hear it.
Thugs of Hindostan will release on November 8, and will sail to China – the country that now seems to be developing into an Aamir Khan territory – in January.
