Hitting the gym and keeping our body in fine fettle is on everyone’s priority list, however, not many have the will power to achieve the ‘ideal’ gym body and we can only begin to imagine the pressure that’s imposed on our b-town celebs to achieve the perfect body type for a particular role or character. Aamir Khan is the biggest example, his weight gain and weight loss journey is extremely inspiring – what a lot of us imagine to be close to impossible, he made it seem possible.
The Dangal actor opened up about his weight gain and weight loss journey, he was quoted saying
I used to look at myself in the mirror and I was really fat so I was like this is not gonna happen, and then I said if I keep looking at where I’m supposed to reach and where I am now, it will scare me. It will dishearten me, I’ll give up, I don’t want to give up so I stopped doing that.
Aamir talks about the importance of following a balanced diet and taking in the right nutrition, one can lose weight without doing an inch of exercise if the diet intake is taken care of.
He spilled out a very funny moment from his weight-loss journey. He was once invited over for a party at Shah Rukh Khan’s house, where Gauri offered him food, but the actor politely refused, and took out his own tiffin, since he was on a diet.
Aamir is now preparing for his upcoming film Laal Singh Chadha, in which his character is a young man, so the 54-year-old actor is working towards losing 20 kgs, of which he has already lost 3 and a half kgs, in 2 weeks.
