Undeterred by the manner in which his last larger-than-life outing ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ tanked at the box office, Aamir Khan has rumouredly signed a deal for another huge project!
According to strong sources in the industry, he has already signed a multi-crore deal for his next magnum opus – a remake of the Hindu epic tale Mahabharata. The film is being backed by huge investors like Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Jio Entertainment, and talks about Mahabharata are nearing fruition. There is an interesting twist to the story, however – the fact that Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra has already announced that he is making his version of the same epic.
Mahabharata has been Aamir Khan’s dream project for many years now – and the actor is ready to go all out with the film’s budget as well! The project will rumouredly cross a budget of Rs. 1000 crores. Aamir Khan is yet to finalize a timeline for the magnum opus as he juggles other commitments. Lal Singh Chaddha is the film he is currently working on, which is a remake of the Oscar-winning film Forrest Gump.
