Akshay Kumar Treats Fans To Sneak-Peek Of The Film ‘Kesari’ On Twitter

In a Twitter thread that began on Akshay Kumar’s handle, he is slowly and steadily unravelling the pages of history as written in his film ‘Kesari’. Based on the ‘Battle of Saragarhi’, the film is also a period-cum-action drama. Akshay Kumar will be playing Havaldar Isher Singh of the Saragarhi unit of the 36th Sikh Regiment.

The ‘Battle of Saragarhi’ was a fight between the Sikh regiment and Afghan regiment in the year 1897. The film encapsulates this very battle, in which 21 Sikh soldiers fought against 10,000 Afghans. A raging battle ensued, in which many were killed on both sides. The ‘Battle of Saragarhi’ was really a fight unto death.

The film also stars Parineeti Chopra, who took to Instagram about the ‘epic experience’ that it was to be a part of this film. Slated to release on March 21, 2019, ‘Kesari’ was a taxing experience to be a part of, even for Akshay Kumar. He had earlier revealed in an interview that he had to shave his head for the film, because of the heavy turban and beard that he had to wear as a part of his character Havaldar Isher Singh.

The actor took to Twitter to release glimpses of the film, as promised. While this is just the first part – Akshay Kumar is going to release a series of them! Check out the first two-
