The much-awaited ‘Mangal Mission’ is all set to take off, a true life story of ordinary people who set out to do the extraordinary. It is a retelling of India’s first-ever mission to Mars. However, what strikes one about the trailer is the ensemble of Hindi cinema’s talented ladies- Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Tapsee Pannu, Kriti Kulhari who join Akshay Kumar on the incredible mission achieved by Indian scientists.

Celebrating the efforts of India’s Space and Research Organization, it wasn’t just all work for team Mission Mangal, who, it seemed, had a whole lot of fun too, as was evident at the trailer launch. When Vidya Balan was asked what drove her to sign films and whether it was the awards- her Heyy Babyy co-star Akshay Kumar answered on her behalf saying, “When Vidya was born, doctors said, ‘Mubarak ho apke ghar National award aya hai’.”

Mission Mangal releases on Independence Day, the clash with Saaho having been averted since the Prabhas starrer will release later in August. However, the film will clash with John Abraham’s Batla House, so its time for some patriotic games at the box office, this August!
