Dancing, acting, producing, marketing, or YouTubing- whatever be the activity she undertakes, Alia Bhatt never ceases to impress! The actress will reportedly be lending her voice to one of the tracks in her upcoming film ‘Sadak 2’.

A source revealed to a leading entertainment website that Jeet Gannguly, the composer of Sadak 2, has already recorded a scratch version of the song with Alia Bhatt’s voice. He has done this in order to understand the pitch and modulation of her voice. The lyrics of the song are reportedly being rewritten under Mahesh Bhatt’s supervision. Moreover, it is a romantic number which and said to be an integral part of the film’s narrative. The song, however, will only be recorded once the film finished its Ooty schedule in the month of August this year.
This is not the first time that Alia Bhatt will be singing for a film. She has previously lent her voice to the romantic number Samjhawan from the Varun Dhawan-Alia starrer Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania. Alia Bhatt and Diljeet Dosanjh have also sung together in the song Ik Kudi from Udta Punjab. Alia Bhatt had also sung Sooha Saha for her film with Randeep Hooda, Highway.

Sadak 2 is the sequel to the 1991 film Sadak. The film marks the first time Alia Bhatt is being directed by her father Mahesh Bhatt. It also marks the return of Mahesh Bhatt to the field of direction after nearly 20 years. Sadak 2 stars alongside Alia Bhatt, her sister Pooja Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, and Aditya Roy Kapur. Sadak 2 is slated for a July 10, 2020 release.
