The Hindi remake of Tamil horror-comedy ‘Kanchana’ will have Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan and starlet Kiara Advani in it. The film is being produced by Akshay Kumar, Shabina Khan and Tusshar Kapoor.
Amitabh, who is known for the kind of versatility he has showcased on the screen, for years together – will reportedly be playing the role of a transgender in the film that’s been titled – Laaxmi Bomb.
The last the Shahenshah of Bollywood came closest to cross-dressing on screen was in the song Mere Angane Mein from Laawaris. Where he danced, pretending to be a transvestite.
Senior Bachchan, according to sources, will be the transgender person who gets murdered, and avenges the crime as a ghost. The role was played by Sarathkumar In the original Tamil version.
Good News co-stars Akshay and Kiara will be seen in the lead roles of the film.
Laaxmi Bomb will hit the screens sometime in 2020. Watch this space for more.
