Touted to be a battle that changed history, Panipat is all about 1,200 warriors battling hard for their victory. Arjun Kapoor will be playing the role of Sadashivrao Bhau in the film. He has been working hard to get into shape for the film, as he shared several posts around his training and fitness earlier on his Instagram profile.
The film marks the return of director Ashutosh Gowarikar to the genre he loves the most. He has previously directed successful period dramas such as Lagaan and Jodhaa Akbar. Apart from intriguing story lines and opulent sets, Ashutosh is known for some of the best cinematic experiences Hindi cinema has to offer.
Speaking about the film, producer Sunita Gowarikar says, “Our film Panipat will bring alive the great glory of Marathas and will showcase not just the epic battle in which more than a lakh soldiers were martyred but also the reasons behind the war. It is an epic tale of great historical significance.”
Shibasish Sarkar, Group CEO, Reliance Entertainment, says, “It is our privilege to associate with such a magnum opus that will showcase one of the biggest ever battles fought in the world. The scale, grandeur and compelling story telling will make it an unputdownable watch when the film opens in theatres.”
