Ayushmann Khurrana, who has been in the industry for nearly seven years, had debuted in Bollywood with Shoojit Sircar’s ‘Vicky Donor’ in 2012. The actor is known for his offbeat film choices – giving audiences something new to expect from him every single time. He has delivered back-to-back superhits with films such as Andhadhun, Badhaai Ho, Article 15, Bareilly Ki Barfi, and Shubh Mangal Saavdhaan. Ayushmann Khurrana reveals that it was a tip from Aditya Chopra that got him thinking about his films in a brand new way.

Talking about the pressure to deliver each time, Ayushmann Khurrana says it’s a happy space to be in! The actor spoke to IANS in a recent interview-
It is the happiest place to be in. About four years back, Aditya Chopra told me that I should do films where people expecting something out of me. They should have an expectation of good content when they see me. I am glad that I am able to achieve that now.
Ayushmann further said that delivering back-to-back hits gives him the confidence to choose subjects.
It gives you courage to choose subjects and go with your intuition. ‘Article 15’ is such a subject. After giving four back-to-back successes, I had the courage to do a film like that, which is beyond commercial aspirations.

The actor has an interesting slew of films to offer in the near future, post the release of his political drama Article 15. Ayushmann Khurrana will be seen in Bala which is about the problem of hair-fall. The sequel to his film Shubh Mangal Zyaada Savdhaan will see him portraying the role of a homosexual man. Ayushmann is also working for Dream Girl, as well as the film Gulabo Sitabo alongside Amitabh Bachchan.
