From playing a sperm donor to a man with erectile dysfunction, Ayushmann Khurrana has done it all! His newest film ‘Dream Girl’ shows him in an all-new avatar; donning a female voice for an adult hotline. But that’s not what Ayushmann had in mind for himself when he first came to Bombay to become an actor. In fact, he revealed at a recent press conference that his dream role was actually quite different from anything he has played so far!
Here’s what Ayushmann Khurrana said about his dream roles in Bollywood when he chose to become an actor.
When you come to Mumbai, you create a certain perception in your mind because you’ve grown up on Hindi films. I thought Shah Rukh Khan’s character in Kabhi Ha Kabhi Na would be my dream role. Then I thought Aamir’s character in Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar and even Amitabh sir’s character in Shakti was my dream role.
Ayushmann said he would never have imagined that he would make his Bollywood debut as a sperm donor!
I never thought I would arrive as a sperm donor and then do Dream Girl or an Article 15. The script writers today think ten steps ahead of perhaps what I can think. They surprise you with different characters.
Dream Girl, which is Ayushmann Khurrana’s next film, releases on September 13. The film stars Nushrat Bharucha, and is directed by Raaj Shandilyaa.
