With Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, we chose to explore a novel subject in an unusually unexpected setting. A unique story like this needed talents like Neenaji and Gajraj Rao and I am so happy to have them onboard.

A source also told a leading entertainment portal that it was because of their chemistry and comic timing that the makers chose them for the film.

Their chemistry and comic timing in Badhaai Ho made them a household name and the makers wish to replicate the same magic in Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhan sequel. Ayushmann too shares a warm camaraderie with the duo. The makers are yet to zero in on the second actor opposite Ayushmann in the movie.

Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan is being directed by Hitesh Kewalya and produced by Aanand L Rai. The film stars Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead role. While the first edition of Shubh Mangal Saavdhaan was based on the issue of erectile dysfunction, Khurrana will be seen playing a homosexual man in second installment of the film. The man to play his love interest in the film is yet to be decided. The film is slated for a Valentine’s Day 2020 release.
