“Jeetega pyaar, sehparivaar” wrote Ayushmann Khurrana as he shared the first teaser of his upcoming film ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’. The actor will be portraying a gay character in the film, and the teaser introduced us to his love interest in the film and his entire family too! Check out the teaser –
The 50-second animated teaser introduces us to the entire Tripathi clan. Jitendra Kumar, who is the younger Tripathi son in the film, will be playing Ayushmann’s love interest in the film. The family members are aware of the relationship between Ayushmann and Jitendra, but do not approve of it. This is not the first time homosexuality is being portrayed on screen in Bollywood by a mainstream actor, as Sonam Kapoor had played a lesbian character in her film Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. Nevertheless, Twitterati was excited to hear about the film and tweeted out their responses to the first look teaser of the film.

Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan will have Gajraj Rao and Neena Gupta reprising their roles of Ayushmann Khurrana’s parents. They had played the same earlier in the 2018 film Badhaai Ho. Other actors in the film include Jitendra Kumar, Maanvi Gagroo, Manurishi Chaddha, Sunita Rajwar, Pankhuri Awasthy, and Neeraj Singh. The film is directed by Hitesh Kewalya. The film will release on March 13, 2020.
