Husband, wife Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are currently in London shooting for their upcoming film together, ’83. While Singh will be seen essaying the role of Kapil Dev, Padukone will be seen playing the cricketer’s wife. Amidst shooting, the duo was spotted sharing moments with fans, every now and then. This time the duo bumped into the British boxer, Amir Khan.
The British boxer took to his Instagram handle to share a picture with both Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. He wrote, “Lovely meeting the power couple of India Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh enjoying London”.
The couple’s film was initially announced to release on April 5 but was however pushed to the release date of April 10, 2020.
Talking about playing Romi Dev after essaying the role of an acid attack survivor in Chhapaak, Deepika had said “Honestly speaking, I’ve always enjoyed playing characters that take a lot out of me, emotionally. Even in ’83, there are extreme highs and lows that Romi also goes through in the journey towards Indian cricket team creating history by winning the world cup. But the film also explores lighter moments between Romi and Kapil Dev. So, in that sense, you can say that it has been a lighter part emotionally.”
