Here’s Why ‘Chhapaak’ Is Deepika Padukone’s Most Time-Consuming Film Till Date

The actress was last seen in ‘Padmaavat’ in 2018 – and won several accolades for her role in the same. The next film that she is working on, ‘Chhapaak’, is being directed by Meghna Gulzar and also stars Vikrant Massey. The film is one of the most time-consuming ones she has undertaken till date.

Chhapaak is a film based on the life of acid-attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal, who Deepika Padukone will be portraying on-screen. Deepika’s reportedly takes three to four hours daily, to get into her look as Malti for the film.

The film is the first time that Deepika Padukone and Vikrant Massey will be seen on screen together. The Meghna Gulzar-directorial is also special for another reason – it marks Deepika Padukone’s debut as a producer too! Deepika also regularly shares pictures of her doing script readings of her film, and sharing the looks and behind the scenes clicks as well.

The actress also revealed how she bides her time and diverts her mind on set while her shot is getting ready. She watches the show Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and loves it!
