A massive fire broke out on the sets of the film ‘Coolie No.1’ late night on September 10. The accident happened at the Filmistan Studios in Goregaon, Mumbai where fifteen crew members were present for the shoot of the Varun Dhawan – Sara Ali Khan starrer. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
The crew members present reported the fire immediately, and the fire brigade and police came to the rescue. Thankfully, the fire was put out as soon as possible and there were no casualties on set.
Coolie No. 1 is a remake of the 1995 original film that starred Govinda and Karisma Kapoor. The original as well as the remake is being directed by David Dhawan. The first posters of the remake of Coolie No. 1 had recently surfaced on social media.
Coolie No. 1 will see Varun Dhawan and David Dhawan collaborating for the third time, after working together in Main Tera Hero and Judwaa 2. The shooting for the film has finished in Bangkok, and the actors were in Mumbai for the film’s second schedule. Coolie No.1 is slated for a May 1, 2020 release.
