The ‘Chhapak’ star left for London with husband Ranveer Singh and the Padukone family on Tuesday night, to unveil her wax statue at the London Madame Tussauds. On Thursday afternoon, she shared a story on Instagram as well, saying ‘Something exciting is on its way, and so am I,’ asking her fans and followers to see her live soon, with a surprise in store!
It was on the Instagram live that the statue was first unveiled on Deepika Padukone’s handle. She posed with the statue, which had an uncanny resemblance to the actress. In fact, many followers of Deepika were left wondering which one of the two is the real actress! While the official pictures from the statue are yet to be revealed, check out the pictures of the statue from the live event-
The actress had shared her feelings about featuring in the wax museum in a Facebook live she featured in recently. “It’s an amazing feeling, to be honest. It’s fun and exciting. And in a way, I think I feel a lot of gratitude as well when you give back to your fans,” said Deepika Padukone.
During the very same live session, Deepika revealed how she used to stand in line for buying a ticket to the prestigious museum, and now she will be a part of the celebrities featured there! “The only thing that can top that experience now is when we go back to the museum next year with my figure,” she said.
Deepika was also joined by husband Ranveer Singh, her father Prakash Padukone, and mother Ujjala Padukone. The figure will first be put in the London branch of Madame Tussauds, where it will feature in the museum for a while. Later, the statue will be brought to the Delhi edition of the museum.
