‘Dil Bechara’ Actress Sanjana Sanghi Has A ‘Complex Relationship’ With Fitness

Sanjana Sanghi is all set to make her big Bollywood debut with ‘Sushant Singh Rajput’. They are working together in ‘Dil Bechara’ which is the Hindi remake of John Green’s ‘Fault In Our Stars’. Ahead of her film’s release, the actress is busy attending events across the city of Mumbai. She inaugurated the iconic Cyclothon of IIT -Bombay’s TechFest, she shared how she and fitness have had a love-hate relationship.

Sanjana Sanghi revealed-

I spoke to the students about my complex relationship with fitness, my childhood spent with nature and us deserving clean air. I believe we are literally one small actionable step away from breathing cleaner air and leading better lives, but we all need collectively to take those steps, because when that will come together, it’ll make for a force strong enough to bring in the change we’re dreaming of. So let’s plant that tree, take that walk and skip that ride, and protect our seas, mountains and forests.

Wondering what complex relationship she’s referring to? This Instagram post of hers offers us that very insight-

I remember being forced to go for the “yoga period” starting 3rd or 4th grade in school. As children do for most things, we mocked each class, thought the poses were weird, boring, and pointless. At that point, I wouldn’t have thought for the life of me that a couple of years down the line, this same “yoga period” would become a wholly voluntary and entirely indispensable part of my everyday. I’m grateful to my practise, for above and beyond everything else, helping me get in touch with myself. The endless physical, emotional and spiritual benefits that follow are the additional cherries on the cake. How flexible, how strong, how tall, how short – all of these factors, are all immaterial. It’s agnostic of time and place. A deep desire to want to do, and an earnestness towards the practise are all that are required. Today’s a day of celebration! Happy International Yoga Day!

The actress further went on to narrate how Yoga ended up offering so many more physical, emotional, spiritual benefits and helped her get in touch with herself.

Dil Bechara will hit theatres in November. The trailer of the film is yet to be released.
