Ayushmann’s ‘Dream Girl’ Crosses 50 Crore Mark In 4 Days, Akshaye’s ‘Section 375’ Slogs Behind

Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Dream Girl’ has been enjoying a great run at the box office – after minting Rs 44.57 crore within three days of its release, the film crossed the 50 crore mark on Monday, September 16.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter handle to report, ” #DreamGirl consolidates and cements its status… Is a bonafide success, with Day 4 [working day] showing negligible decline…”

On the other hand, on its day 3, the Ajay Bahl directorial, Akshaye Khanna and Richa Chadha’s Section 375, collected Rs 3.52 crore, taking the opening weekend total to Rs 8.04 crore. Taran Adarsh had tweeted, “#Section375 goes from strength to strength… Very commendable, since it faced two major opponents [#DreamGirl, #Chhichhore]… Weekdays crucial… Fri 1.45 cr, Sat 3.07 cr, Sun 3.52 cr. Total: ₹ 8.04 cr. #India biz.”

Section 375‘s Monday collection remains unreported as of now.

Meanwhile, Shraddha Kapoor and Sushant Singh Rajput’s college drama Chhichhore earned Rs 4.02 crore on Monday, taking its total collection to Rs 98.08 crore. The film is expected to cross Rs 100-crore on Tuesday.
