‘Dream Girl’ Is Ayushmann Khurrana’s Biggest Opener, ‘Chhichhore’ Stays Strong

It’s a great day for the Indian box office for both the recent releases ‘Dream Girl’ and ‘Chhichhore’ that are doing exceedingly well. ‘Dream Girl’ has turned out to be Ayushmann Khurrana’s biggest opener, while ‘Chhichhore’ goes from strength to strength at the box office.

Dream Girl opened to a figure of Rs. 10.05 crores on its first day. This is higher than the opening day numbers for both his 2018 hits – Badhaai Ho and Andha Dhun, as well as the 2019 release Article 15. What an achievement for Ayushmann Khurrana! Meanwhile, Shraddha Kapoor and Sushant Singh Rajput starrer Chhichhore is showing no signs of stopping at the box office. The film has garnered total collections equalling Rs. 74.17 crores within a week of releasing. What’s more – the film’s second friday box office numbers are higher than several superhit films of 2019, including the likes of Salman Khan’s Bharat and Prabhas’ Saaho.
