Hindi remakes of superhit regional films are common fare, but if recent reports are to be believed, the trend is slowly getting reversed! Telugu film producer D. Suresh Babu, who is the face behind Suresh Productions, has revealed in a recent interview that he plans to remake two Hindi films for Telugu audiences. The first of these is Kartik Aaryan starrer ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’, and the second is Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Dream Girl’.
The producer spoke in an interview with a Telugu entertainment channel, wherein he revealed his plans to see through six big films in the year 2020. Dream Girl and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety‘s Telugu remakes will be two amongst those six films. “We hope to have six releases next year. We’ve also bought remake rights to two Korean films. Hopefully, those will also get made next year. It’s going to be a very busy year,” said D. Suresh Babu.
Coincidentally, both films Dream Girl and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, have Nushrat Bharucha as the female lead. Would she be playing a role in the remake as well? Well, our guess is only as good as yours!
