Alia Bhatt is busy promoting her film ‘Darlings’ these days. The film also marks her debut as a producer.
During the promotion of her film ‘Darlings’ Alia Bhatt spoke to GOODTiMES about how 2022 has been the year of many ‘firsts’ for her.
In an exclusive chat with GOODTiMES Puja Talwar, she said, “I don’t mind taking a year for myself. In all honesty I am extremely thrilled and excited. I did my first film with Sanjay Leela Bhansali. I did my first film with Rajamouli. She jokingly adds, “I had my first and last wedding.”
She further added, “I did my first Hollywood film and this (Darlings) is my first film as a producer. And it’s my first time being a mommy. So yeah, there are a lot of firsts and I’m looking forward to many such more beautiful years. And there are many more firsts to come.”
For the uninitiated, Darlings is a dark comedy that follows the story of Badru (Alia Bhatt) who hopes her volatile husband (Vijay Verma) will reform if he stops drinking. However, when his rage goes too far, she and her mum (Shefali Shah) boldly, albeit clumsily, seek revenge.
The film is currently streaming on Netflix.
