Janhvi Kapoor interviewed with GoodTimes at the recent launch of a brand’s store in Indore. On being asked about her upcoming multi-starrer film ‘Takht’, the actress said that it’s an honour and a ‘big deal’ to be playing the role that she will be. “I’m really fascinated by history, the Mughal empire specially. It’s a big deal to me to be playing someone who’s such a prominent part of history,” said Janhvi Kapoor.
The film is a historical period drama, based on the Mughal era and the fight between two brothers. While Dharma Productions had announced the multi-starrer’s cast a while ago, the film is yet to go on floors. Takht stars, apart from Janhvi Kapoor – Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, and Anil Kapoor. The star cast aside, Janhvi is excited for the film for a new reason altogether.
“I’m really looking forward to Takht. I’ve been wanting to dance in a film, I didn’t get the chance to in Dhadak. And even in the stuff that I’m doing after, I don’t really have the chance to dance much. But I love dancing so I’m really looking forward to that,” said Janhvi Kapoor. The film is slated to release next year.
When Janhvi Kapoor was asked what she thinks about ‘brand Janhvi’, she said, “I don’t know, I think it’s changing everyday. I like to think that I am growing everyday, or at least I am trying to grow everyday.”
