The actor returned to back home after a year long treatment for neuro-endocrine tumour in the United Kingdom. The photographs of him on the airport had instantly gone viral on social media, with fans excited to see his return to the films! Irrfan had also shared a heartfelt note about the same, sharing gratitude for the immense love and support he had received.

The film is being directed by Homi Adajania, and produced by Dinesh Vijan. Angrezi Medium has begun its first schedule of shoots.
