John Abraham Loves Box-Office Clashes, Here’s Proof

John Abraham has found his forte in action thrillers and films with patriotic undertones, and there is no stopping him. With back-to-back hits, John Abraham has been consistently giving us films which have got audiences approval and box office numbers as well. More than that, the actor isn’t afraid of competing with the big Bollywood names such as Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan; and the dates of his films releasing is testimony to that.

The clashes began on Independence Day in 2018 when the John’s film Satyamev Jayate clashed with Akshay Kumar’s Gold. There was another clash this year, again with Akshay Kumar in Mission Mangal, which had the same release date as John Abraham’s Batla House.

A third clash of John Abraham and Akshay Kumar would have happened on Eid 2020, with the makers of Mumbai Saga vying for an Eid 2020 release which was already taken by the makers of Akshay Kumar’s Laxxmi Bomb. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshallah was also slated to release on Eid 2020, but ever since Salman Khan announced his exit from the film, it has apparently been shelved. So going by the current situation, looks like that clash may have been averted and excluding Inshallah, both films may head towards having solo releases.

This is not to say that the actor isn’t willing to make a change to his release date at all. The actor’s next film Pagalpanti, which is a comedy entertainer, was going to clash with Batla House director’s next production Marjaavan. The Sidharth Malhotra-starrer now has a solo release date on November 8, 2019 while John Abraham’s Pagalpanti will hit theatres at a later date.

But that’s not all – John Abraham’s next film Satyamev Jayate 2 will be releasing on Gandhi Jayanti 2020, and will in all likelihood be clashing again with Farhan Akhtar-starrer Toofan. Both the filmmakers are raring to go, and it seems like we’ll be heading for a war at the box office between John & Farhan next year.

Most of John Abraham’s films have had a solo release at the box office in the recent past, and in all likelihood they will not in the future. Kudos to the actor for taking challenges in his stride and not backing down!
