That’s not it, Netflix has also partnered with India’s finest storytellers to bring you 9 more original films!
Given our diversity, history and culture, India is home to powerful stories waiting to be told to audiences around the world. The ten new films will span across genres, such as drama, sci-fi, thriller, horror, comedy and romance. And as the popular OTT platform continues to bring the best of Indian cinema to its global audience, we’ve been told that by the end of 2020, a total of 15 new original Indian films will be available for viewership across the world. The list will include, previously announced titles – Music Teacher, Cobalt Blue, Chopsticks, Upstarts and Bulbul.
Besides Ghost Stories, there will be Class of 83 that will be produced by Red Chillies Entertainment. Mrs Serial Killer that will be produced by Farah Khan and directed by her husband Shirish Kunder. Dibakar Banerjee’s Freedom, and six other films – namely, Guilty, Yeh Ballet, Maska, House Arrest, Kaali Khuhi and Serious Men.
The Internet is an exciting place for telling stories that are multi genre and multi layered. We are thrilled that our film Mrs. Serial Killer will launch first on Netflix. Being on Netflix allows the film to find its audience on their own time, and stays on for newer audiences to discover it even months later. Both Shirish and I at Three’s Company are looking forward to embark on this journey together.
