‘Kabir Singh’, the Hindi remake of Telugu film ‘Arjuna Reddy’, and it broke all box office records! Turns out another Hindi remake of a Telugu film is going to be made soon. 2009 film Arundathi might be remade into a Hindi film starring Kareena Kapoor Khan as the leading lady.
Both Kareena Kapoor Khan and Anushka Sharma were being considered for the role, but by the time the makers could make up their mind the rights of the film expired. A source revealed to a leading entertainment portal, “The film is finally being made in Hindi after 10 years, as the subject has a period feel to it and will be very relevant. If Kareena’s dates don’t work out, Anushka Sharma could be an option. When the film went to Anushka first, she could not do it due to her busy schedules and contractual obligations.” Arundathi had actress Anushka Shetty in the lead, and her performance in the Telugu film had been much appreciated and awarded.
Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor Khan has revealed that her son Taimur Ali Khan gets quite emotional when she leaves for work. “Amma, don’t go!” cries Taimur every time that she has to go somewhere, thus prompting Kareena to slip out of the house quietly. Isn’t that just the cutest thing ever?
