Kriti Sanon has a number of super successful films in her kitty. With her last film ‘Luka Chhupi’ opposite Kartik Aaryan that ran a great run at the box office – the actress got contemplative about her role and the credit she got for the film. According to Kriti, it is important that that this conversation is happening!
Kriti Sanon had revealed to an online portal-
It’s logical to talk about only the male protagonist when the leading lady doesn’t have a lot to do, but when they are both carrying a film on their shoulders, the credit should be equally shared. Everybody deserves a mention.
So is this Kriti Sanon envisaged herself to be? Clearly not, as the actress revealed in an exclusive quote to GoodTimes.
Well, when your film does well commercially and your performance is appreciated, it does give you a sense of security and confidence that you are on the right track. But there’s still alot more to do.
Kriti Sanon also has landed some envy-worthy films which have catapulted her into the limelight. Bareilly Ki Barfi opposite Ayushmann Khurrana was one, and Luka Chhupi, too, was a huge success! Talking about how she goes about choosing her projects, she said she relies on the good old gut feeling.
I have always gone with my gut feeling when it comes to choosing projects. When that resonates with the audience, you get the confidence to try something new and get out of your comfort zone and do something very different, which is exactly how I feel now!
Does Kriti rely on the good-old 100-crore films as benchmark?
100 crore isn’t what I take as a benchmark. For me, the film should gain profit and the producers should get their money back and the audience should be entertained. That’s the sole purpose of making films.
Does she plan and venture into some uncharted territories such as OTT platforms and the likes? Well, not in the immediate future. But you never know, Kriti Sanon might just surprise you!
