The star is often looked at as a seven letter synonym for ‘success’. Do you know Madhuri is the only female actor to be nominated for Filmfare awards 14 times? Besotted by her beauty, MF Hussain had claimed to have watched Hum Aapke Hain Koun about 67 times. Such is her charm.
Madhuri will soon be seen alongside Anil Kapoor, Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh as celebrity guests. While shooting for it, Madhuri Dixit reminisced about her first fan moment.
“When ‘Tezaab’ released, I was not in India. I was in the US for my sister’s wedding. So, when I returned to India, I was going towards my car at the airport and there were two or three kids who were hanging out there to clean the car. One of them saw me and started shouting ‘woh dekh heroine heroine’ (look, heroine) and all of them came running towards me,” said Madhuri, who played Mohini in the film. That left her confused.
“And then, they asked me for an autograph. I signed with M. The moment they saw M, one of them excitedly told the other one ‘dekha maine bola tha na, ye Mohini hai” . So, that was my first public recognition ever.”
Madhuri Dixit will soon be seen on the silver screen in two forthcoming releases, Total Dhamaal (February 22, 2019) and Kalank (April 19, 2019).
