‘Badhaai Ho’ Star Neena Gupta Wins ‘Best Actress’ At This International Film Festival

It’s, in fact, a double victory for Neena Gupta! The actress won two awards at the recently held International Film Festival of Boston – one for Best Actress for her role in the film ‘Badhaai Ho’, and the second was Best Feature Film for her film ‘The Last Color’. Neena Gupta shared the news on her Instagram handle –

The Last Color was the directorial debut of Vikas Khanna. The film revolves around the taboo surrounding widows in Varanasi and Vrindavan in India. The film has already travelled to several film festivals, including the likes of New York Indian Film Festival and Indie Meme Film Festival. Its first look had been revealed at the Cannes film festival. An excited Vikas Khanna shared the news on Twitter –

“When the world gives Neena Gupta ji a standing applause, my heart starts dancing. I still need to pinch myself to realise that I created THE LAST COLOR with India’s one of the greatest actress,” wrote Vikas Khanna. The film will now premiere in Chicago on September 20.
