Priyanka Chopra let the woman vent and said that she is not somebody who promotes war.
I have many, many friends from Pakistan and I am from India. War is not something I’m really fond of but I am patriotic, so I’m sorry if I hurt sentiments to people who do love me and have loved me.
She further tried to call truce with the woman, saying that it’s important to find a middle ground and that we all are here for ‘love’.
But I think that all of us have a, sort of, middle ground that we all have to walk. Just like you probably do as well. The way that you came at me right now… girl, don’t yell. We’re all here for love.

The Pakistani woman’s concern stemmed from Priyanka Chopra’s tweet on February 26 for supporting the Balakot Air Strikes carried out by the Indian Armed Forces to destroy a terror camp in the area. The actress’ tweet was the centre of much controversy, since it was at a direct clash with her duties as a UNICEF Goodwill ambassador. An online petition had also begun doing the rounds, asking people to sign up for Priyanka’s removal from the post because of this tweet –
