In April, Priyanka Chopra and Mindy Kaling’s pitch for a wedding comedy was picked up by Universal Pictures. Not only will the two be seen co-starring, they will also be co-writing with Dan Goor. “The story basically came from my wedding, where a bunch of Americans were exposed to this grandiose palace – the food, the family, the culture, the clothes and the comedy that comes with it,” she says as she spills the beans. The project will have an all-South Asian star cast adds Priyanka Chopra who wishes to see a revolution around South Asian representation in Hollywood.
