Priyanka Chopra and director Robert Rodriguez are teaming up for a superhero movie on Netflix, ‘We Can Be Heroes’.
The plot will witness alien invaders kidnap Earth’s superheroes, and how a group of children have to team up to save their parents and the world.
Soon after the announcement, Netflix unveiled the full cast, which also includes Christian Slater, YaYa Gosselin, Akira Akbar, Andrew Diaz, Andy Walken, Boyd Holbrook, Hala Finley, Isaiah Russell-Bailey, Lotus Blossom, Lyon Daniels, Nathan Blair, Sung Kang, Vivien Lyra Blair, Adriana Barraza, Christopher McDonald and Pedro Pascal.
Priyanka Chopra Jonas’ next, The Sky Is Pink, which has also been co produced by her, will be premiering at The Toronto Film Festival in September. The film is the only official selection from Asia at the festival this year.
The Sky Is Pink is a love story of a couple, Aditi (Priyanka) and Niren Chaudhary (Farhan Akhtar) – spanning 25 years, told by their teenage daughter Aisha Chaudhary (Zaira Wasim), who was diagnosed with a terminal illness. The film is slated to release worldwide on October 11, 2019.
After producing several acclaimed features including Paani, Ventilator, Pahuna: The Little Visitors and Firebrand, Priyanka Chopra will also produce and star in an untitled wedding comedy set in India, co-produced by Mindy Kaling and Dan Goor for Universal.
