There were quite a few nominations this year, with ‘Lust Stories’ being nominated for the Best TV Movie/Mini-Series category; ‘Sacred Games’ nominated for Best Drama, ‘The Remix’ nominated for Best Non-Scripted Entertainment. Even though we had quite a number of nominations, the prestigious Awards did not come our way. Yet, Radhika Apte being nominated for Best Performance by an Actress for ‘Lust Stories’ was indeed a proud moment for the Indian contingent!

The actress shared a picture of her Nomination Medal at the Emmy Awards. “Thank you Emmy’s! Every nominee was given a medal today… So honoured! The actress was also part of a panel discussion before the actual award ceremony began. She joined the likes of other nominees, including the likes of Jenna Coleman from the United Kingdom.

Meanwhile, a surprise win came India’s way when Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer McMafia won in the Best Drama Series category. Nawazuddin had essayed the role of an Indian businessman in the series. The actor had two nominations as well, including one for Sacred Games. He was seen smiling for the shutterbugs at the awards ceremony, along with his co-stars from the series. The actor later tweeted about the same.
