Rishi Kapoor has been in New York since September 2018, undergoing treatment for an ‘undisclosed illness’. While speculations about the actor returning to India soon, with wife Neetu Kapoor, have been doing the rounds – Rishi’s son Ranbir confirmed that he, indeed, will.
“Well, he’s doing very well. He’ll be back very soon”, said Ranbir Kapoor to the media at a recent event.
Ranbir Kapoor also further spoke about how his father is missing films and working in them.
He’s missing the movies, he’s missing working in films. I really hope that with all your wishes and prayers, he comes back very soon.
Many of his family and friends from the fraternity have been taking turns to visit the actor and his wife, the most recent of them being his elder brother Randhir Kapoor with daughter Karisma Kapoor.
The actor had celebrated New Year’s eve in New York itself with family. Neetu Kapoor had shared a post on her Instagram profile, with a caption that read ‘hope in future cancer in only a zodiac sign’ (sic). Post which speculations of him battling cancer began.
