After her sensitive portrayal as an aspiring teacher dealing with Tourette syndrome in ‘Hichki’, actress Rani Mukerji in all set to reprise her top cop avatar in the sequel to her 2014 hit ‘Mardaani’.
The actress is currently in Rajasthan shooting for the film and spent time with the Kota police force and their families. She also met the top female cop of the city, Dr. Amrita Duhan, the Assistant Superintendent of Police.
In Mardaani 2, Rani will be seen getting back in the shoes of the fearless and committed Superintendent of Police, Shivani Shivaji Roy. Mardaani, the film’s prequel in which she took on the kingpin of a child trafficking racket, was a superhit and highly acclaimed by critics as well as cinegoers.
While we still await an official release date, fans wait with baited breath to find out who will Rani be tackling next.
