Ranveer Singh To Replace SRK In Don 3? Here’s What We Know

We all have been sitting on the edge of our seats to hear an update on the third installment of Shah Rukh Khan’s action thriller film Don. While director and producer of the film Farhan Akhtar is currently working on the script of the film, there is a buzz about Shah Rukh Khan not being a part of the film. 

If media reports are to be believed, Shah Rukh Khan has opted out of the film as he only intends to do ‘commercial films that cater to a universal section of audience’ and hence maker’s are in a look out for a new lead.

At one hand where this news ended up disappointing all the Shah Rukh Khan fans out there, it also left the audience to wonder, if not SRK then who will be acing Don’s role in the film’s sequel.

Earlier some reports suggested, the ‘Gully Boy’ actor Ranveer Singh is in race with a few other actors to step into SRK’s shoes. Soon after, a source close to News 18 confirmed that Ranveer has indeed been confirmed to play the titular character in Don 3. 

The source said, “Following Shah Rukh’s exit, the makers of Don 3 were looking for a popular and bankable name who could take the Don legacy ahead. And they have finally zeroed in on Ranveer. This association has borne fruit in the past and it will be no surprise if the collaboration proves to be another runway hit. We’re waiting to see how fans of the Don franchise react to Ranveer’s casting considering Shah Rukh won over everyone with his charismatic portrayal of Don.”

While we all are waiting for the official announcement on a development of the film with a bated breath, Ranveer Singh will be seen alongside Alia Bhatt in Karan Johar’s ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’
