Rohit Shetty Moves Up ‘Sooryavanshi’ Release, Avoids Clash With Salman Khan’s ‘Inshallah’

The two biggest names – Rohit Shetty and Salman Khan – were earlier clashing on Eid 2020 with their respective films. ‘Sooryavanshi’ and ‘Inshallah’ both were slated to release on the same date next year. This is now, however, not the case anymore! In an announcement made on social media by Karan Johar and Rohit Shetty on their respective profiles, the release for ‘Sooryavanshi’ has now been preponed. The film will now be releasing on March 27, 2020.

Salman Khan made the announcement through a post announcing the release date of Sooryavanshi adding that he has always regarded Rohit Shetty as his younger brother and today he proves it.

Karan Johar took to thanking Salman Khan and confirmed the news, calling Rohit Shetty the ‘blockbuster director’ and Akshay Kumar ‘the ultimate Khiladi’ will be arriving on March 27, 2020. Sources had earlier also revealed that Rohit Shetty was skeptical to clash with Inshallah, and it upset Salman’s fans.

Hence, the release date for Sooryavanshi ended up being shifted, all in an amicable manner of course! Salman Khan had, in an interview, also revealed that his film Dabangg 3 would be releasing in December 2019 itself. This meant that the December date could not be blocked for Sooryavanshi as well – which is why 27 March, 2020 was decided.
