Shraddha & Prabhas Starrer ‘Saaho’ To Hit Theatres Late, Release Postponed

What was touted to be the biggest clash at the box office this year, has now reportedly been sorted. Three films were earlier slated to release on Independence Day – Akshay Kumar’s science drama ‘Mission Mangal’, John Abraham’s cop thriller ‘Batla House’, and Prabhas’ ‘Saaho’. Now, reports suggest that the makers of ‘Saaho’ may have postponed the date of release to August 30, instead of August 15.

Though the makers are yet to make an official announcement about the same, the industry and social media is abuzz with rumours about the postponement. Saaho has been in production for nearly two years now, and is one of the biggest budget films releasing this year with a budget crossing, well, Rs 300 crores. The three-way clash at the box office would prove detrimental to the business of not just the Shraddha Kapoor and Prabhas-starrer, but also other films which were simultaneously releasing.

Saaho‘s release date being shifted would ease the earlier stress on all three films and give them some breathing space and time to do business at the box office.
