Taapsee & Bhumi’s ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ To Be Screened At This International Film Festival

‘Saand Ki Aankh’ is gearing up towards its Diwali 2019 release. Before the film hits theatres in India, the announcement of its screening in China is already here! Taapsee Pannu shared the news on her Twitter handle –

“The news we all were holding on to for quite sometime is finally out! Seems like our film is liked by a certain section already,” wrote Taapsee, sharing the news on her Twitter handle. Saand Ki Aankh will be screened at the third edition of the Pingyao Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon International Film Festival (PYIFF).

The film has Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar playing the lead roles of sharp shooters Prakashi and Chandro Tomar, who took to the sport in their 60’s and won many accolades and awards for the country ever since. This is the first time both actresses will be portraying octogenarian women who are much older than they currently are. Taapsee Pannu called it her most challenging film till date in an interview with Goodtimes. She talked about the risk she took with the film, saying she is more worried about the film than her ‘competition’ as such.

I am more worried about this experiment that I have done with my own choice and filmography, playing someone who is more than double age. Having no idea of holding a gun, I am so bad with aiming sports. Everything is anti or opposite to Taapsee in real. Their lives are very opposite of Taapsee. Everything is a risk for me.
