Salman Khan Introduces Sooraj Pancholi As Legendary Indian Boxer ‘Hawa Singh’

‘Hawa se baatein karega singh’, wrote Salman Khan as he shared the first look of Sooraj Pancholi as legendary Indian boxer, Hawa Singh, in an upcoming biopic by the same name.

In the poster, actor Sooraj Pancholi can be seen gulping down a big glass of milk, wearing a langot, inside a boxing while taking a break on a haystack in the boxing ring. A pair of boxing gloves can also be seen hanging in the background.

Hawa Singh was a Captain in the army, who played a great role in making boxing a very important and exciting Olympic sport in India, after retiring from service. He won the National Boxing Championship Title, 11 years in a row from 1961 to 1972, and is the only Indian boxer to win two Gold Medals at the Asian Games.

Replying to Salman Khan’s tweet on the film, Sooraj Pancholi wrote, ‘Won’t let you down sir!’

Sooraj, who will have to undergo immense training for the said role, will reportedly, have face-offs against real boxers from Pakistan, Bangladesh and other countries.
