The film has been steadily gaining ground through word-of-mouth, despite mixed reviews from critics. Its collections on Friday were 28 crores, and despite a dip on Saturday, the collections stood at 26.7 crores. Bharat released across 4700 screens in India and 1300 screens overseas.
After the debacle of Tubelight and Race 3, Bharat’s success is a welcome relief for Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, whose last Zero sank without a trace at the box office.
