Two films old Sara Ali Khan is quite the talk of the town! Since her debut in 2018, the young actress has charmed not just the film fraternity, but critics as well. Though she didn’t have a release in 2019, she already has two more films in the making for 2020. The actress looks for versatility in the roles that she does, and not just screen time in the script – and this is the reason she has chosen to become an actor.
The actress says that she considers everything when thinking about a role that is offered to her-
I don’t think that you can necessarily have a lot of screen time in every single film that you are a part of. I think sometimes you do films, because there are certain directors that you want to work with, or there is a certain genre that you want to be a part of, and while of course in time and role and importance to the narrative are things that actors do consider and things that I consider as well.
Though her debut Kedarnath did average business at the box office, her second film opposite Ranveer Singh, Simmba, was a box office hit!
I was very keen to work with Rohit sir, and I am a fan of his work and I am huge fan of the genre of work that he does. I think that it was a different opportunity for me than Kedarnath. I think that somewhere down the line, the movie business is a collaborative one, and sometimes there are films and stories that you want to be a part of even if you don’t have a lot of screen time; so that’s why I decided to be part of Simmba and Rohit sir was nice enough to cast me for it.
Sara Ali Khan will be next seen in the Imtiaz Ali directorial Aaj Kal alongside Kartik Aaryan. She is also working with Varun Dhawan in Coolie No. 1.
