Shah Rukh Khan To Star In Hindi Remake Of ‘Kill Bill’?

It’s the season of remakes, and looks like producers aren’t stopping at classic Bollywood films. If reports are to be believed, classic Hollywood film Kill Bill may be remade with Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role as the antagonist Bill.

Producer Nikhil Dwivedi has reportedly purchased the rights to the remake earlier this year, and sources reveal that he is on the lookout for suitable actors who could play a part in the action thriller. A source quoted to a leading daily:

“There has been talk about Shah Rukh stepping into the role of the antagonist, Bill. This is one of the many films that the actor is considering for his next as he is keen on working with Kashyap. However, the discussions are at the nascent stage. The team has yet to zero in on the leading lady who will breathe life into Thurman’s part.”

Anurag Kashyap is also reported to have a stake in the project, as he may be roped in to direct the film. Shah Rukh Khan was keen on collaborating with the director.

Shah Rukh Khan has taken a break off films post the debacle of his last film Zero. The actor’s name was being associated with multiple projects post his annoucement. The actor had then clarified that when he would choose to do a film, the whole world would know.

Shah Rukh Khan has been active on the production front, as his production banner Red Chillies Entertainment recently collaborated with Netflix to produce Bard of Blood. The series has Emraan Hashmi and Sobhita Dhulipala in the lead roles. All episodes released on Netflix on September 27.
