Sooraj Pancholi is here with a brand new film ‘Satellite Shankar’, in which he essays the role of a soldier and his adventures around the country. The actor begins his tryst with films once again, four years after his debut in 2015 with the film ‘Hero’. In a conversation with Goodtimes, the actor spoke about his trial by media, how he was affected being his father’s son, and his upcoming projects.
On being asked whether he paid a tough price for a relationship, Sooraj Pancholi said-
I didn’t pay a tough price for being in a relationship. I paid a tough price for being a star kid’s son. I paid a very tough price for being my father’s son. My father has a certain image for the mistakes that he has made that everyone knows about. But people don’t realize that even if you live in the same house you can be two different individuals.
The actor has many a times reiterated how the media treated him unfairly being from the family he was in. Sooraj Pancholi wants to clarify that he is very different from his parents as a person. Yet, he had to pay the price.
I have been raised not even by my mom or my dad, but my grandparents, so I’m very different from them. I’m even very different from my mother. I have a mix of both. But I paid the price of being their children, their son.
Talking about his involvement in the case and its impact on his career, Sooraj Pancholi said his case has only ever been a media trial, and he hasn’t got much chance to put forward his point.
If this was a normal case, I think, even the CBI would not have been involved. And my case has only been a media trial. I haven’t said anything, because I know I can only get justice from court. Media will only get TRP out of it.
So what does Sooraj Pancholi really want with regards to the trial? “I just want it to end, ma’am. That’s about it,” the actor admits. And will it end anytime soon? “No, my trial has not even started,” says Sooraj Pancholi.
